Executive Summary
Taking a systemic viewpoint, the work covered by this deliverable can be mainly split into two main parts:
a) the first part relates to the SELIS Community Nodes enabling technologies and Security characteristics, while
b) the second part is more relevant to the information exchanges setup, so that they are performed in a standard way, relating more to Information Management Standards.
SELIS has from the outset established an ambitious Technologies Innovations agenda, while attempting to integrate Business Collaboration models that disrupt the normal line of business, dealing with Cloud Deployment of services and infrastructure components that they are shared, thereby, reducing the barriers in SMEs to join and to exploit innovative technologies and innovative business solutions.
The work presented in the Architecture and the Security Section is highly linked with the work in SELIS performed by the design team, setting the basis for the work in WP4. In summary, the main technology drivers of the SELIS platform are to enhance the SC collaboration, supporting the SELIS Strategies (ELGS), delivering collaborating Logistics Models, establishing reliable and Secure Communications, and delivering advanced Big Data analytics Services and Applications that enable the collaborative planning and operations of SC partners.
